Back before phone games, your parents had to physically go to the shop and buy you a game. So if your parents brought you Pokemon Blue/Red, you were gonna play it A LOT, because it's all you had. If you wanted to play a game, you had to play whatever you physically had. No swapping out when it became difficult. I'm sure a lot of us spent many a countless frustrating day banging out heads against Misty's Starmie with a Geodude caught from Mt Moon, not understanding why the hell we were getting curb stomped. People like to talk about the bugs in gen 1, too. Most of the bugs and glitches didn't really come out until afterwards, when speedrunners started breaking the game open. To a kid who didn't really understand the game, special being only one stat, or the badge boost glitch don't really make much difference anyway. Gen 1 was magical. The first of it's kind. Being a kid when all that released was amazing.

Hello! Great video, as always! Can you do another challenge, when you have randomized starters and can only say the game which the Pokemon made the first appearance. For exemple: mewtwo, Pokemon blue/red; mareep, Pokemon silver; etc etc. Don't forget some Pokemon only made it to one game, blue or red, ruby or sapphire, and some made in both games. If you think its hard, make it like: charizard is fire and Pokemon blue/red; gengar is ghost and Pokemon blue/red; etc etc. You can also make one lie, like mew was just in sword/shield but was in red/blue. What do you think? Big fan of your "work", from Portugal!

Another Quick challenge versus and another Quick throw. Had high hopes!

I feel these challenges need continuity and like a reward or punishment for winning/losing a season. Like forfeits maybe eat something gross irl, buy the others favourite food, loser donates money to a charity or even just a handicap in another challenge. I agree with the generation tournament idea posted by others but i feel in general you should do some seasons with continuity so like theres some stakes on the line and y'all compete more rather than being a fun battle that just hard closes with no outro its a little disappointing makes me feel like only watching 3/4 the video because it ends on such a weak note.

I got a great challenge. You guys both have three random starters, choice lock, but rock paper scissors decides who gets to choose. So if chillin wins and picks middle quick must take middle as well.

Okay. On the 12th. It will officially be one month since I first started asking for this. I have an idea for Scarlet and Violet. The two of you catch one Pokémon of each type. 18 each. Now. Once you have caught all of them. You can take turns choosing to pass or take. So for a fire type. If quick takes his fire type, then chillin has to take his. And vice versa. Same rule for passing. Now a couple of rules, 1. only one legendary. You can choose to catch only one. So for dragon. If you see a dialga first, you can choose if you want that dragon or wanna save you legend for later. 2. Only one of each. So if you caught a gallade for fighting. Then you can’t catch a gallade for psychic. 3. Random moves and abilities. 4 no backtracking.

Damn, i was rooting for you, Quick! I think the reason gen 1 feels so strong is because only the more popular, stronger pokemon have been ported to newer gens, and you didn't have the best selection of both mons AND moves.

CHALLENGE IDEA Loving the content can you please make a video where you start at gen 1 and catch a random Pokémon from that gen and continue this through all generations only catching one from each then make the best team and fight. Like this so they see it ❤
